Frequently Asked Questions!

We love functions and events and have a number of spaces that can be used exclusively or combined to make larger spaces. The Fox’s Den function room is a fantastic private space that is also one of the only U-Shape able function rooms in the CBD. 

We can cater for up to 60 people seated and 80 people standing in this space alone. Our restaurant can seat 110 people for a function meal or 150 people for a cocktail party. Combined with the Fox’s Den it’s a great space for 160 sit down or 230 in a cocktail event arrangement. Finally the Little Collins Terrace is an outstanding CBD outdoor space that is perfect for small social gatherings and after work drinks with colleagues. 

The terrace can facilitate for up to 75 people in a cocktail or stand-up alternatively we can facilitate for 
dining events on the outside area of up to 50 guests however it is weather dependant.

 Henry & The Fox does not have strict minimum spend amounts for functions and events however we do ask that all events allow a minimum budget of $21.50 per person for food and $21.50 per person for beverage in order to reserve a space with us. 

At certain times of the year we do encourage certain yeild expectations for our spaces however our function 
coordinators are more than happy to guide you when it comes to these. 

Our normal trading hours are 7.30am to 1am and we may serve alcohol for the entirety of these hours. 
We are able to apply for special trading hours in accordance with Victorian Liquor Licensing Laws. 

 Where is the closest car park? 

Rates from 1 hour $22 up to a daily maximum of $50
Open from 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday

Rates from 1 hour $18 up to a daily maximum of $56
Open from 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
Early Bird Parking is available for $24.  Enter before 10am and exit after 3pm.

Street parking is free and ample after 7.30pm Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays.
How do we get to the venue via public transport? 

Southern Cross train station – 5 minute walk 
Flinders Streettrain stations – 14 minutes walk 
Flagstaff train station – 10 minutes walk 
 Trams lines 11, 12, 48, 55, 86, 96, 109 – All stops only 2 minute walk 

 What is the venues function capacity? 

Fox’s Den - Seated 60pax | Standing 80pax 
Restaurant Seated - 110pax | Standing 150pax 
Terrace - Seated 60 pax | Standing 75pax (weather dependant)
Whole Venue – Standing 280pax 

 Can we bring our own decorations? 

Absolutely!  We love dressing up!

We do ask that any decorations that you bring are removable and 
do not cause any damage to our venue though.

How much is the cakeage and why do you charge it? 

We understand you might want to bring a celebratory dessert and we encourage you to do so.

however we do charge a cakage fee in order to provide storage, 
arrange the presentation, cut and ensure q
uality handling of your cake or dessert.

Do you have audio visual equipment available?

Yes we have an onsite 55inch flat screen television and a corded microphone which can be hired.

We also work with a great audio visual company if you require any extra AV equipment.

Can we have music and entertainment?

We are more than happy to assist you in sourcing entertainment or alternatively contacting your 
external supplier to discuss the venues details on your behalf.
