Does Henry and The Fox have a minimum spend?

At Henry and The Fox we do not have strict minimum for our functions and events as it depends on the time of year, day and week.  For your information the below minimum spends are an outline on what we would expect for each of our spaces.

Fox’s Den $2000
Terrace  $2000
Restaurant /Terrace $8000
Exclusive Venue Hire $12000

 Where is the closest car Park? 

Rates from 1 hour $22 up to a daily maximum of $50
Open from 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday

Rates from 1 hour $18 up to a daily maximum of $56
Open from 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
Early Bird Parking is available for $24.  Enter before 10am and exit after 3pm.

Street parking is free and ample after 7.30pm Monday to Saturday and all day on Sundays.
 
How do we get to the venue via public transport? 

Southern Cross train station – 5 minute walk 
Flinders Streettrain stations – 14 minutes walk 
Flagstaff train station – 10 minutes walk 
 Trams lines 11, 12, 48, 55, 86, 96, 109 – All stops only 2 minute walk 


 What is the venues function capacity? 

Fox’s Den - Seated 60pax | Standing 80pax 
Restaurant Seated - 110pax | Standing 150pax 
Terrace - Standing Only 60pax 
Whole Venue – Standing 280pax 


 Can we bring our own decorations? 

The venue can be decorated if the space that has been hired is exclusive. 
The decorations cannot damage the building in anyway. 
If damage accord there will be an addition cost added to your final bill. 
 Please speak with the functions manager regarding setup and requirements.
 We are also more than happy to do it for you for a small fee. 


 Do you provide linen and table cloths? 

We provide black table cloths only for evening functions in the function room only. 
If you wish to have addition linen, such as cloth napkins,please speak with the functions manager 
as anything can be ordered at an addition cost. 


How much is the cakeage and why do you charge it? 

We charge cake in order to provide storage, arrange the presentation, cut and ensure quality handling of your cake. 
 This is also the case with cup cakes.

Henry and the fox charges $2 per person for the above reason.

If your party is 50 people or larger, then a flat rate of $100 cakeage applies. 

 
Can we BYO alcohol? 

No BYO of food (other than a cake) or alcohol is permitted. 


What access does the venue have? 

Access to our venue depends heavily on our general trade.  Our professional event staff will work closely with you to ensure your event space is ready on time and exceptionally presented.   

Please speak with your venue manager regarding access and logistics.


What time does Henry & The Fox close?

We are licensed to serve alcohol between the hours of 8am and 12am. 

Exceptions to this are on Sundays when alcohol can be served after 10am until 12am, 
ANZAC DAY and GOOD FRIDAY after 12pm until 12am. 

Henry & the Fox reserves the right to cease serving alcohol before the specified licence time 
if the venue is at risk or levels of intoxication are deemed to be dangerous by management. 

Persons under the age of 18, whilst are permitted on the premises, may not consume alcohol as part of any function.

What is the Dress code?

Smart casual. 
However, if you have hired an exclusive space your more than welcome to come in tasteful fancy dress.


Do you have audio visual equipment available?

Yes we have an onsite 55inch flat screen television and a corded microphone which can be hired at a fee of $50 per person. 

We work with a great audio visual company if you require any extra AV equipment.


Can we have music and entertainment?

We are more than happy to assist you in sourcing entertainment or alternatively contacting your external supplier to discuss the venues details on your behalf.
